I’m an undergraduate historian completing a BA in History, with minors in East Asian Studies and Human Geography, and a trained early childhood educator with seven years of teaching experience. My research examines how migration, memory, place, and everyday experience shape historical narratives and cultural belonging. I am especially interested in bringing historical research into conversation with wider publics through fieldwork, digital history, community engagement, and accessible storytelling. Across various projects, I have developed experience in qualitative and quantitative research, academic and public communication, and project coordination.  Fluent in English and Mandarin, with conversational Spanish, I enjoy working across languages, disciplines, and communities to make historical research meaningful beyond the classroom.

  • Lead group field research at Fudan University in Shanghai, examining how migrant workers, especially food-delivery couriers, build stability through social ties, platform management, and work strategies.

  • Collected and analyzed bilingual data through interviews, digital questionnaires, and field observations for an academic article and research outcome for the Insights through Asia Challenge showcase.

  • Designed and executed an independent research project on China on how museums, schools, and revolutionary heritage sites communicate socialism, patriotism, and national identity.

  • Produced a high-distinction (95%) research paper examining how early modern London’s Royal Hospitals used charity, confinement, and education as instruments of civic governance and social control.

  • Developed an interactive digital component using historical mapping, Voyant textual analysis, and Audacity-based sound reconstruction to connect spatial, textual, and sensory evidence.
